Hi,
  I have installed Oracle Database 10g R2 on SUSE Linux ES 9. After
installation, while opening the Enterprise Manager, it shows the status of the
database as down and gives following error.

AGENET CONENCTION TO INSTANCE
STATUS : FAILED

DETAILS: ORA-12505 (See ORA-12505.ora-code.com) : TNS: listener does not currently know of SID given in
connect descriptor (DBS Error : OCI Server Attach)

Can anyone help me in solving this?
